Picture
This is the perfect class for anyone that wants to learn hand-building in clay or experienced potters that need a place to work on their creations with like-minded artists..

Join us every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Fee per session is $30 and students can purchase clay for $10 for every 25 lbs. These are for adults. Students under 16 will need to be accompanied by a participating adult.

We are also offering this to students grades 6 through 12 every Wednesday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Clay, tools and glazes are provided at no charge. Any fees are to pay our instructors.

Nathan Adam (see bio below) will be your instructor and will be overseeing the firings needed for your creations. Tools and glazes are available at no additional cost or students may bring in their own supplies and equipment.

These are ongoing workshops and students are encouraged to work at their own pace and as their schedules will allow. Registration is required for the students first session. Additional sessions can be reserved in class or on the webpage.
A maximum number of 8 students per session will be enforced per CDC social distancing guidelines until further notice. Students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult (except during Early Out classes).

Nathan Adam is a visual artist and poet living in rural Missouri. As a maker, he is interested in creating artwork which undergoes rich, deep processes. Process drives this artist's work to the extent that any resulting piece, or message in the work, comes secondary to engaging with the underlying process. As such, in his pursuit of Fine Arts education, Nathan emphasized on the vast artistic processes of printmaking and ceramics, while studying at East Central College in Union, Missouri and Webster Univerisity in St. Louis, Missouri.
While, also, holding a deep affinity for teaching, and for bringing the Arts to where people are, Nathan currently organizes and participates in festivals and fairs across the State, engaging fair-goers in live art demonstrations and opportunities for creating artwork, in addition to teaching at various Nonprofit Arts Organizations in the Jefferson City area and beyond.
