Oil Painting with Friends

Painting with oil on canvas or board can be intimidating-and an investment in time and money. Supplies can be extensive and there is a time commitment to learn the more complicated medium. This class is designed to be a crash course on materials and supplies, how to focus on what works best for you by using a limited palette of colors, experimenting with simpler equipment, and just umping in to see if it fits your artistic whims, all in a fun and friendly way.
The 8- to 10- hour workshop covers basic materials, color considerations, composition, and process. Some materials will be available for students to use but participants are encouraged to bring what they have or prefer to use. Please refer to the materials list for items to be used in class.
Participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch on Saturday. We will supply chips, vegie/fruit tray, cookies and drinks.
